Spend a Weekend With Me at the Naples Maple Farm in Naples , NY

I recently was gifted the opportunity to stay at The Naples Maple Farm to spend a weekend in their unique Airbnb! The farm sits at the top of a hill with more than 40 acres of maple trees and offers the most incredible views year round. The farm is also the largest in Ontario County and is located 10 minutes from the adorable town of Naples. The timber frame house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and can sleep up to 12 people. The location gives you the peace and quiet of a country setting with dozens of local options for adventure, dining and wine tasting only minutes away. Please check the Airbnb link for more (and better haha) photos of this incredible house! My favorite part of our stay here were the thoughtful touches that the hosts provide.. pancake mix with their own maple syrup for breakfast, local maple flavored coffee to brew and rocking chairs in the front of the property to take in the views, day and night.

My friend and I had the best time! We hiked, experienced a few of the local restaurants and hit up the Vintage, Vines and Valentines wine tasting event in town.

Not only is this an Airbnb, but this property is also the perfect place to have your wedding or special occasion and when you reserve The Lodge for your wedding, you also reserve a two-night stay in the Sugar House. Fill out the form on their website if you would like more information!

**If you’re looking for something fun to do in the month of March, The Farm is hosting an open house & all you can eat pancake breakfast on the weekends of March 16th & 17th, 2024 and March 23rd & 24th, 2024. It is sure to be a fun weekend! Find the link to buy tickets ahead of time here!

The town of Naples is small but packs a punch with plenty of things to keep you busy while you are there! This is a place you can visit any time of year, but visiting in the off season gives you the opportunity to experience it all without the crowds. Below are some suggestions for how to spend a weekend there!

If outdoor adventure is what you are looking for, here are some ideas:

  • Cumming Nature Center - in the winter you will find trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, from December through March you can explore the Gnome Roam and the rest of the year there are multiple trails available! Another highlight of this beautiful nature center are the pines. There is a $5 charge per person to explore the grounds.

  • Multiple Trails at Ontario Park at Gannett Hill, but for views make sure to stop at the Jump Off Overlook. Free to enter.

  • Bristol Mountain for skiing in winter and fall foliage chair lift rides in September and October. Purchased tickets are required.

  • Grimes Glen for a short but rewarding hike with two waterfalls. Free to enter.

Pictured below are some photos I took at the Cumming Nature Center of the Gnome Roam and the famous Pines, the view from the Jump Off at Ontario County Park and of the waterfalls at Grimes Glen in the fall.

How about restaurants, wineries, breweries, distilleries? I’ve got you covered!

We started our weekend with an unbelievable lunch at the Hollerhorn Distillery. The menu was so unique and my friend and I had a hard time deciding what to order! We decided on the classic burger, the Cacio e Pepe potatoes and the olive crush appetizer. Of course we had to order the Naples Mule cocktail made with Naples Valley Concord grape juice. Yum!!

For dinner we dined at the Social at the Naples Hotel. If classic dishes like steak and seafood are your thing, you’ll love it here! We ordered a wedge salad, sweet chili calamari, a broiled fish fry with hush puppies (so good) and the haddock e´touffe´. Everything was very good! This meal was by far our most expensive but the portions were huge.

The next morning, we grabbed breakfast at Old School Cafe. This place was so busy and definitely seems to be the place to be on the weekend. We started off with a mimosa and a raspberry amaretto spritz, then ordered the stuffed French toast and a giant Belgian waffle. I would highly recommend stopping here!

And for dinner on Saturday, we went to Naples Wood Fired Pizza. We ordered a Margherita pizza, the smoked wings and some fries. This was such a great place and we really enjoyed everything.

Some other places we didn’t get to but are definitely worth checking out are:

Below are some pics of the great food and drinks we had!

Why do the weekends always seem to go by so quickly?? We woke up on our last morning, made some coffee and pancakes and packed up. Our wonderful host and owner of the Naples Maple Farm was kind enough to give us a tour of the production area and explain a bit about how maple syrup is made. The sap was really flowing the weekend we visited because of the unseasonably warm temperatures! We also got to sample the different flavors of syrup and even a maple barbecue sauce. Don’t worry.. If you can’t make it for a visit or stay, you can always order online!

The town of Naples is a wonderful hidden gem that deserves to be explored in all seasons. Let me know below if you’ve been or are planning to visit! And as always, I hope this gives you a little inspiration to get out and try something new! Happy traveling…
